The Small Business COVID Hardship Fund is open for applications until Friday 10 September or until program funds are exhausted. If your business has not previously received any means of COVID support from the Government, you may be eligible.

What's on offer
Grants of $14,000 are available for eligible applicants.

Eligibility
This fund is only available to businesses who have not received a benefit from other COVID-19 support grants since 27 May 2021.
Small and medium businesses with a payroll of up to $10 million who have experienced a 70% or greater reduction in gross revenue (or turnover) will be eligible.

How to apply
In order to apply, you will need to provide evidence that your business has experienced a reduction in turnover of at least 70% for a minimum consecutive two week period since 27 May 2021 as a direct result of COVID-19 restrictions, in comparison to a similar trading period in 2019.

There are two main options for providing this evidence:

Option 1: We can prepare the documentation and apply on your behalf.
Please advise us as soon as possible if you would like us to do this for you by contacting your West Carr & Harvey Director or via This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or 03 5222 4522.

Option 2: You can apply directly as a business owner and have the application verified by a "qualified agent" (we can act as your qualified agent, or a bookkeeper may be able to assist). Again, please contact us to advise if you would like to pursue this option.
Further information available here.

In order to provide evidence of a 70% reduction in turnover, you will need to select a specific 2 week period since 27 May to use as a comparison to that same 2 weeks in 2019. We suggest using the below lockdown dates and restrictions that came after each lockdown as guide to assist in selecting a relevant fortnight which would have impacted your business.
For example, you may choose to select a period when we were in lockdown and/or a period where there were signifcant restrictions causing business disruption.
